Welcome Assembly on Commencement of New Session
*C.J.S. Public School, Jalandhar welcomed the students on April 5,2023 on the commencement of the new session. A warm welcome was given to the all the students on the lyrics.
Happy welcome, cheerful welcome, great welcome
As they entered the school premises. It was decorated with colourful balloons and welcome tags. Teachers carried the pom-poms to greet their students happily. Students’ faces were also glowing with smile and excitement on their first day to school as they were anxious to meet their teachers and see the school again after a short break.
A special morning assembly was organised for the students. It was started with the school prayer. Madam Rajni Sharma, coordinator of the senior wing addressed the students. Our Honorable Madam Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ravi Suta welcomed the students and guided them to be disciplined and focus on their studies from the very first day itself.
Madam Chairperson Ms. Neena Mittal congratulated the students and showered her blessings on them.
Yoga and Meditation Session for Faculty
*C.J.S. Public School organised Yoga and Meditation Session on April 6,2023*
“A calm mind brings inner strength and self – confidence, so that’s very important for good health”. A few minutes of Yoga during the day can be a great way to get rid of stress that accumulates daily-in both the body and mind. Yoga postures, Pranayama and meditation are effective techniques to release stress. Meditation is relaxation which results in calm mind, good concentration and rejuvenation of the body and mind.
In view of this, C.J.S. Public School successfully organized Yoga and Meditation Session on the school premises on 6th April, , 2023 for the staff members. Resource person for the session was Mr. Rohit Sharma.
Staff members alongwith Madam Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ravi Suta performed various 'asanas' and enjoyed meditation as well. The main aim was to raise awareness and ignite a passion for fitness and peace of mind.
Honourable Chairperson Madam Mrs. Neena Mittal and Madam Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ravi Suta appreciated the guidance and motivated the teachers for the regular practice of yoga and mediations.
Yoga Session –A Step towards Physical Fitness

Yoga is a mirror to look at ourselves from within"
Yoga is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in India. The word ‘Yoga’ is derived from Sanskrit word that means to join or to unite, symbolizing the union of body and consciousness. It has been the practice of our institution to give importance to Yoga and meditation as it gives several benefits to the one who is a regular practitioner.
In view of this, C.J.S. Public School organized a Yoga Session on 10th April , 2023 for the Class IX students.
Mr. Malkeet, Sports teacher made the students do yoga . All the students enthusiastically participated & looked keen to learn various techniques of Yoga.
Honourable Chairperson Madam Mrs. Neena Mittal and Madam Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ravi Suta motivated the students for the regular practice of yoga to keep oneself fit and healthy
Baisakhi Celebration
*C.J.S. Public School , Jalandhar celebrates Baisakhi.*
"Wheat crop is ready to harvest, time to rejoice, fruits to reap of blood and sweet and get joyous and celebrate life."
Keeping this in mind the festival of harvest Baisakhi was celebrated on April 13, 2023 in the school premises under the able guidance and supervision of our Worthy Management and Honourable Madam Principal, Dr. ( Mrs.) Ravi Suta..
A special morning assembly was conducted in which the students of Class VI presented a group song.
Ishaan of Class XI mesmerised us with his beautiful voice.
A speech was delivered by Jeevansh student of Class - VI sharing the importance of the day with the aim to recharge and keep high spirits to celebrate the festival of joy with loved ones.
Students of U.K.G. Class were dressed in Punjabi Attire. They made corns and were shown the wheat to make them more aware of the importance of the day.
Honourable Chairperson Madam Mrs. Neena Mittal and respected Madam Principal, Dr. (Mrs.) Ravi Suta shared the importance of the day and expanded their blessings to all.
Inter House Paper Bag Competition
*C.J.S. Public School organized Inter Class Paper Bag Competition on April 15, 2023*
Inter class paper bag competition was organised for the students of class VIII under the guidance of the school management and our Principal Madam Dr.( Mrs.) Ravi Suta for the creative development of the students in which the they participated enthusiastically and displayed their creativity.

Inter House Hindi Debate Contest

An Inter House Hindi Debate Contest was organised on April 17,2023 for the classes VI and VII under the guidance of the school Management and our Principal Madam Dr.(Mrs.) Ravi Suta for the intellectual development of the students. The topic of the competition was 'Mobile Bachon Ke liye Upyogi Ya Hanikarak'.The students participated in this Contest with full enthusiasm .

- Priyanshi ( Godavari House ) and Yavni (Krishna House) from Class VII B got Second position.

*SLOGAN WRITING and TREE PLANTATION ACTIVITY*
Under the Theme “Mission Life Style for Environment”
*C.J.S. Public School* *OBSERVED EARTH DAY* by Organising *SLOGAN WRITING *ACTIVITY* and *TREE *PLANTATION ACTIVITY* on April 21, 2023 under the guidlines of CBSE under theme “ MISSON LIFE STYLE FOR ENVIRONMENT”
"A Slogan is a memorable motto or phrase used by people to express an idea or purpose, with the goal of persuading members of the public or a more defined target group.
Under the guidelines of *CBSE as per the theme “ *MISSON LIFE STYLE FOR ENVIRONMENT”* and guidance of respected Madam Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ravi Suta, C.J.S. Public School organised Slogan Writing Activity for Class V to observe Earth Day on 21 April, 2023 with great zeal and enthusiasm.
Little toddlers of L.K.G. had adopted a plant and watered it and understood the importance of trees in their life.
In second event, students of class V showcased their perceptions about Earth Day through their creativity through Slogan Writing. Through this activity students portrayed about a healthy environment. The students painted their perceptions on paper regarding saving the planet Earth from pollution and other damages.
Tree plantation is very necessary to provide oxygen to the environment and make the air quality better. Students of Class Vl and Vll planted trees in school premises.

CYCLOTHON-An Initiative with a noble cause
*C.J.S. Public School , Jalandhar Organized ' CyclothonMaintaining a physically fit body will overall make you stronger, and live a healthy lifestyle. Being physically fit will improve the performance of all the muscles in the body including heart, and helps with, balance, power, speed, coordination, and many more aspects.
On the occasion of WORLD EARTH DAY ,C.J.S Public School organized Cyclothon event on April 22,2023 ( Saturday) in collaboration with "Hawker Rider Jalandhar" under the guidance of Mr Rohit Sharma . The event was officially sponsored by "Raheja Enterprises". The chief guest of the event was Mr. Jagwinder Singh , 23 year old paracyclist . He gave motivational speech to the students and encouraged them to do the best in their lives. Mr. Lalit Mittal , Secretary, Chairperson Madam Mrs. Neena Mittal, Mr. Sarthak Mittal , Trustee, Ms. Saloni and Respected Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ravi Suta welcomed the Chief Guest.
The event started at 6:30 A.M. with a huge success with participation of students and faculty of the school . On the day, First - aid was provided to the students.
The Cyclothon was flagged off with the slogan " Ek Do Teen Char Badho Aage Na Mano Haar" to Verka, Pathankot Chowk (near Duggal Restaurant) , A.P.J School, Tanda road Near Railway crossing Hoshiarpur Adda ,Mai Hira Gate ,Patel Chowk ,Workshop Chowk ,Maqsudan Flyover and at C.J.S.Public School .
All the participants were awarded certificates at the end of the event.
Madam Chairperson Ms. Neena Mittal and School Principal Dr.(Mrs.)Ravi Suta appreciated the efforts of students and teachers.
Prefectorial Ceremony
*C.J.S. PUBLIC SCHOOL, JALANDHAR ORGANISED PREFECTORIAL CEREMONY”
Under the supervision of management and guidance of our worthy Madam Principal, Dr.(Mrs.) Ravi Suta, Prefectorial ceremony was organised on April26,2023 in the school to encourage and kindle leadership qualities in our young prodigies.
The ceremony began with the morning prayer and after the prayer Coordinator of Senior wing Ms. Rajni welcomed Madam Principal on this auspicious ceremony.
After this Madam Principal honoured all the Coordinators , H.O.D.s(Academics) , all the four House Masters/ House Mistresses , Activity Incharges , Discipline Incharges and Examination Incharge by giving badges to them.
The event further continued with the facilitation of Head Boy and Head Girl. Taranpreet Singh of class XII ( Commerce) was honoured as the Head Boy and Paramjot kaur of class XII ( Medical) was honoured as the Head Girl by the Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Ravi Suta by giving badges and sachets to them.
Moving further in this ceremony, House Masters and Mistresses gave badges and sachets to Captains, Vice Captains and House Prefects of the four Houses- Meghna, Kaveri , Godavari and Krishna..
The House Captain and Vice Captain of Meghna house are Tamanpreet Kaur of class XII ( Medical)and Khushi of Xll (Commerce).House Captain and Vice Captain of Kaveri house are Ishaan Singh of class XlI (Medical)and Karanveer of class XlI (Medical).House Captain & Vice Captain of Godavari house are Shubhpreet Kaur of class Xll (Medical)and Harleen Kaur of class Xll (Medical). House Captain and Vice Captain of Krishna house are Gurleen Kaur of class Xll (Arts) and Gurjinder Singh of class Xl (Non Medical)respectively.
The event was further followed by facilitating the
deserving and meritorious students from classes I to XII by giving badges of Class Representatives .Further
In the ceremony, the Head Boy and the selected students took oath to discharge their
responsibilities. Head boy shared his experience and gratitude to Management, Madam Principal and teachers in his speech. Madam Principal Dr.(Ms. Ravi Suta congratulated all the badge holder teachers and students.
Respected Madam (Mrs) Neena Mittal, Chairperson of School Management Committee and Honourable Principal Madam Dr. (Mrs.) Ravi Suta motivated the students and blessed them and encouraged them to make their vision clear for the achievement of their goal by performing their duties with full dedication. She then congratulated the newly elected Student's council and emphasised the significance of setting priorities and the need of the hour to be a team player.
The ceremony ended with the singing of National Anthem.
Inter House Paper Presentation Contest

An Inter House Paper Presentation Contest was organised on April 20 ,2023 for the classes IX and X under the guidance of the school Management and our Principal Madam Dr.(Mrs.) Ravi Suta to develop a level of confidence in them.
The topic of the competition was ' Value Inculcation - Role Of Education'.The Contest was a grand success, where students were given an opportunity to present their topic in the best way.

Inter Class Poem Recitation Contest

In the words of Matthew Arnold"Poetry is simply the most beautiful, impressive and widely effective mode of saying things."
Under the guidelines of *CBSE as per the theme “ MISSON LIFE STYLE FOR ENVIRONMENT”* and guidance of respected Madam Principal Madam Dr. (Mrs.) Ravi Suta, C.J.S. Public School organised Inter Class English Poem Recitation Contest on topic “Save Trees” for Class IV on April 28, 2023.
Students participated in this contest enthusiastically and recited the poems melodiously with actions by using beautiful props on the topic. They enjoyed with the perfection of expressions, thoughts, emotions, rhythm and music of words. They got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence.

Cleanliness Activity for Classes I and II
*C. J. S. Public School, Jalandhar organised a Cleanliness Activity for Classes I and II.*
According to George Bernard Shaw "Better keep yourself clean and bright; you are the window through which you must see the world".
Keeping this in mind, Cleanliness Activity was organised on April 29, 2023 in the school campus under the able guidance of School Management and Our Worthy Respected Madam Principal Dr. (Mrs.)Ravi Suta. During the activity students arranged their books and notebooks, bottles and cleaned their classroom and dust their desk, etc. in a proper manner.
Students also delivered different thoughts and recited poems to create awareness regarding cleanliness and its benefits. Students participated enthusiastically in the activity.
On this occasion, Our Honorable Madam Chairperson Mrs. Neena Mittal and Our Worthy Madam Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ravi Suta were also present. She told the students about the value of Cleanliness and encouraged them to keep their classrooms as well as the surroundings clean and put garbage in the bin.
Our Honorable Madam Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ravi Suta appreciated our little ones and motivated them for their future endeavors.
Calligraphy Competition
In the words of Joy Deneen "Calligraphy is the ultimate synthesis of what I love: Language, art and human connection."
Keeping this in mind,under the able guidance of Management and our worthy respected Principal Madam Dr.(Mrs.) Ravi Suta, *Calligraphy Competition* was organised for the students of *Class II to IV* on *May 3, 2023.* *(Wednesday)*
On this occasion, our little writers showed their handwriting skills with their beautiful writing pieces. Judgement was done by Ms. Supreet and Ms. Riya.

This is what the students of classes VII and VIII aimed at by participating in Inter House 'Hasya Kavita contest' organized on May 2, 2023 under the guidance of the school management and our Principal Madam Dr.(Mrs.) Ravi Suta .The students participated in this Contest with full enthusiasm . Various parameters like creativity, comic elements, time, length of the poem, presentation skills, etc were judged .

Mothers' Day Celebration
In the words of *Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam*"When mother is happy, family is happy. When family is happy, nation is happy."
Keeping this in mind,under the able guidance of Management and our worthy respected Principal Madam Dr. (Mrs.) Ravi Suta, *Mothers' Day was celebrated* by the students of *Jack and Jill wing* with full enthusiasm on *13th May,2023*
On this occasion, our tiny tots showed their gratitude towards their mothers by making different creative things dedicated to their mothers like beautiful cards, colourful flowers etc.
The main idea was to highlight the importance of mothers in the life of their children.
Respected Madam Chairperson Ms. Neena Mittal and Our Honorable Madam Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Ravi Suta appreciated the efforts of little CJSians by saying that when you look into your mother's eyes, you always find their love for you and that is the purest love you can find on this earth. A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take, so we should always respect our mothers.
Mothers' Day Celebration
“God couldn’t be everywhere ,therefore He created mothers”
Keeping this in mind, under the able guidance of Management , Honourable Chairperson Madam Mrs. Neena Mittal and Respected Madam Principal Dr. ( Mrs.) Ravi Suta , a special Function on Mother’s day was organized by C.J.S. Public School on 13th May, 2023 . The main idea was to highlight the importance of mother in the life of a child and to make our mothers feel special.
To make the celebration more special , mothers of students were invited to the school to be a part of the colorful celebration. The welcome speech was given by the Principal of the school . She addressed the mothers by saying that ‘A mother’s heart is brave and she sacrifices everything for the welfare of the children. She advised the students that they should give respect and love to their mothers and thank them for all that they have done to make their lives comfortable and lovable.
In this celebration special group song, dances, speech and poetic recitation were presented by the students . Speech was delivered by Soumya Pandey student of class V Daffodils. Poem was recited by Eknoor Kaur student of class V Lotus. The heartfelt and stellar performance of the students was a moment of ecstasy for the mothers to introspect on the immense influence and pivotal role. that they have in the life of their children. All the presentations were dedicated to mothers . Students also made cards for their mothers and their cards were shown to mothers in the form of PPT.
The happy and excited mothers took part in the various games & activities. Modelling , Ramp Walk Round, Talent Round and Questionnaire Round was conducted for mothers . The best mother contest was won by Mrs. Kiran Soni mother of Harshit and and Hasrat IV Lotus, First Runner up was Mrs. Preeti mother of Divyadeep IV Tulip , Second Runner up was Mrs Sandeep Kaur mother of Raavi V Daffodils and Best Dress tag was won by Rupinder Kaur mother of Gurjeswar Singh IV Marigold. Sachets and gifts were presented to all the winner mothers of the contest and crown was also presented to best mother of the contest.
Our honourable Chairperson Madam Mrs. Neena Mittal and Madam Principal Dr.( Mrs.) Ravi Suta appreciated the efforts of the participant mothers and inspired the children to respect their mothers and to perform virtuous deeds and resort to ethical ways that will make their mothers feel happy and contented.
All in all it was an enjoyable and memorable day for each and every child which left an indubitable mark on the innocent hearts.
Thanks Giving Activity for Class 1st
C. J. S. Public School,Jalandhar organised a Thanks Giving Activity for Class 1st
According to Barbara de Angelis "Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference. Bless the one who receives them, and they bless you, the giver."
Keeping this in mind, *Thanks Giving Activity* was organised on May 15, 2023 (Monday) in the school campus under the able guidance of School Management and our Worthy Respected Madam Principal Dr. (Mrs.)Ravi Suta. In this activity students created their own ways of saying thank you to the workers by making badges and cards using their hand impressions and by writing the beautiful messages on the cards. The cards and badges were presented to those workers who help us in our daily chores. Students did very well in this activity.
On this occasion, Our Honourable Madam chairperson Mrs. Neena Mittal and Our Worthy Madam Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ravi Suta were also present. She told them about how our workers help us and motivated them to give respect to each and every person who work.
Inter House Chess Championship
“C.J.S.PUBLIC SCHOOL ORGANIZED INTER HOUSE CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP ”
The chessboard is the world, the pieces are the phenomena of the Universe, the rules of the game are what we call the laws of Nature and the player on the other side is hidden from us.
Chess is a game of not only intellect but of bouncing back after losses, practice, discipline and persistence. This statement proved true in Inter-house Chess Championship for classes VII and VIII as held on May 15, 2023 in C.J.S. Public School under the guidance of management and honorable Principal Madam.

Chess Club exactly like a battle field against where upon two minds can compete each other keeping same in view, an Inter-house Chess Championship for classes V and VI organised on May 16, 2023 in C.J.S. Public School under the guidance of management and honorable Principal mam. The students played with full enthusiasm . Such kind of competition provide a platform to students to improve their logical thinking, analytical reasoning and problem-solving.

Me and My Phonics Activity for Class U.K.G
C. J. S. Public School,Jalandhar organised Me and My Phonics Activity for Class U.K.G.
According to Martin Kozloff, if a child memorises 10 words, the child can only read 10 words. But if a child learns 10 sounds, the child will be able to read 350 three sound words, 4320 four sound words, 21650 five sound words.
Keeping this in mind, Me and My Phonics Activity was organised on May 18,2023 (Thursday) in the school campus under the able guidance of School Management and our Worthy Respected Madam Principal Dr. (Mrs.)Ravi Suta. In this students had made a word chain by using different alphabets . They had pasted these alphabets on a magnetic board.Students did very well in this activity.
On this occasion, Our Honourable Madam chairperson Mrs. Neena Mittal and Our Worthy Madam Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ravi Suta were also present. They appreciated the students for their efforts.
Sharing and Caring Activity

Keeping this in mind,under the able guidance of Management and our worthy respected Principal Madam Dr. (Mrs.) Ravi Suta, *Sharing and Caring Activity* was conducted for the students of *Class II* on *20th May, 2023.*
On this occasion, students shared eatable items like biscuits, chips and candies with their classmates. Students also highlighted the importance of sharing, by speaking about why they like to share things with others.
Our Honorable Madam chairperson Mrs. Neena Mittal and our worthy Madam Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Ravi Suta appreciated the efforts of little CJSians, by saying that we should care about our friends, family and our near and dear ones. They also told that we should help needy people because there is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up. If we can help someone then it will be the greatest service to the mankind.
Fun with Colours Activity for Class Nursery
C. J. S. Public School,Jalandhar organised a Fun with Colours Activity for Class Nursery
According to Alex Nguyen "Life is a vivid picture of many different colors. Each color will make our life more interesting".
Keeping this in mind, Fun with Colours Activity was organised on May 20, 2023 (Saturday) in the school campus under the able guidance of School Management and our Worthy Respected Madam Principal Dr. (Mrs.)Ravi Suta. For this activity teacher made Magic Box in which objects of different colours were kept. Three baskets were also kept on the table and students had to pick the object and put it in the basket of the same colour.
Students enjoyed a lot in this activity.
On this occasion, Our Honourable Madam chairperson Mrs. Neena Mittal and Our Worthy Madam Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ravi Suta were also present. They appreciated the students and teachers for this well organised activity.

Ritanya, student of Class - II of C.J.S. Public School participated in Fancy Dress Competition under the theme Gadgets and brought laurels to the school by bagging First Position.
Her outstanding performance, confidence and dedication won the hearts of everyone present there.

International Day for Bio Diversity
C.J.S. PUBLIC SCHOOL observed INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR BIO DIVERSITY on May 22, 2023.
Under the guidelines of *CBSE as per the theme “ Mission Life Style For Environment”* and guidance of respected Madam Principal Madam Dr. (Mrs.) Ravi Suta, C.J.S. Public School organised a COLLAGE
MAKING ACTIVITY on May 22, 2023 for Class V to observe International Day For Bio Diversity.
Collage Making is a technique of an art, production, primarily used in visual art. Cjsians participated in this activity
with great zeal and enthusiasm. They got an opportunity to exhibit their divergent thinking and creativity. They exhibited their skills of what to use and how best to use the material to express themselves.

Inter House Chess Championship for class III and IV

Chess Club is exactly like a battle field against where upon two minds can compete each other. keeping same in view,
an Inter-House Chess Championship for Classes III and IV was organised on May 24, 2023 under the guidance of management and respected Madam Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ravi Suta. Such kind of competitions provide a platform to students to improve their logical thinking, analytical reasoning and problem-solving. The students played with full wisdom and enthusiasm.

- Kusant Kumar (Krishna House) from lll Marigold got Seccond Position.

C.J.S. PUBLIC SCHOOL ORGANIZED ANTI TOBACCO DAY
ANTI TOBACCO DAY was celebrated in morning assembly on May 29, 2023 in C.J.S. PUBLIC SCHOOL under the guidance of Chairperson Madam Mrs.Neena Mittal and Our Respected Principal Madam Dr (Mrs.) Ravi Suta .
In this assembly , anchoring was done by Mannat , Speech was given by Arpita Sachdeva , News were reported by Ria Chadha and Thought was given by Disha Garg.
At last Madam Principal made the students aware of heath hazards as caused due to the consumption of tobacoo and suggested effective policies and laws that will cut down on global tobacco use.

Beating the Heat with Summer Camp
C.J.S. Public School Organised Summer Camp from June 1 -7,2023 for the Classes Nursery to V.
According to Susan Santog, “Camp is a solvent of morality. It neutralizes moral indignation, sponsors playfulness.”

Under the able guidance of Management and our worthy Principal Madam Dr. (Mrs.) Ravi Suta, C.J.S. Public School organised Summer Camp from June 1 to June 7,2023 for the Classes Nursery to V.
Little students participated in various activities like Dance, Pool Party, Aerobics, Best Out of Waste, Art and Craft, Fireless Cooking, Gym , Yoga and Games. They had movie time and also visited Burger King. Students enjoyed the pool party, bubbled with excitement and enthusiasm in their colourful swimming suits, splashed water and had a lot of fun.
Students learnt to prepare art items from different waste and art materials , displaying their creative and innovative skills. They explored their talent to the maximum . In “Cooking Without Fire”, students made Monaco Bites, Lemonade, Sandwich, Papri Chart, Mango Mojito and other summer drinks. Various Yoga asanas were performed and their importance was explained to them . On the last day of the Summer Camp, students enjoyed DJ Party and were served with refreshing drinks and snacks.
Honourable Chairperson Madam Mrs. Neena Mittal, and respected Madam Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ravi Suta appreciated the efforts of the teachers and students both. She added that Summer Camp served as a medium of learning new skills and developing confidence in the students. In nutshell, Summer Camp culminated in happy note for all concerned.
Summer Camp
Summer Camp was organised by C.J.S.Public School, Jalandhar for the students of classes 6-8 which began from 1st June ,2023 and culminated on 5th June,2023 under the able guidance of Chairperson Madam Mrs. Neena Mittal and Principal Dr.(Mrs.) Ravi Suta.
Fun filled activities were a delightful treat for the students. It gave them an opportunity to learn new skills .
This Summer Camp aimed at keeping the students engaged & provided them a platform to explore and express their creativity. They not only collected memories while having fun but they were able to face their fears, try new things. They were able to make new friends amidst lot of laughs & learnt team spirit. Every activity worth doing has a learning curve.
